Françoise Vanhecke and Samuel Bodart: book presentation: "Jawel, ik zing terwijl ik inadem".
In her book, Françoise Vanhecke describes the (R)EVOLUTION she has brought to the singing world and continues to bring. It provides an expansive view of contemporary singing techniques, modern music, and stimulates an intense musical experience. This book is a must-have for anyone involved with music.
She also brings a special guest, Samuel Bodart, a drummer and percussionist from Lille with whom she has performed multiple times. Samuel leads a solo project called drums/poetic texts (Numero h.) and plays in various rock and improvisation groups. The majority of his work revolves around setting texts to music that can give rise to musical interpretations.
The book is published by Stichting Kunstboek and can be obtained at the bookstore.

Françoise Vanhecke - Book launch: "Jawel, ik zing terwijl ik inadem"
This time, no breathtaking recital by Françoise Vanhecke, but a book launch. In her book, "Jawel, ik zing terwijl ik inadem," Françoise presents the results of her doctoral research. In that research, she developed a new singing technique, inhaling singing.

Together with soprano Françoise Vanhecke and guitarist Jean Van der Schueren, Alice Toen (101) presents a selection of songs and texts by, among others, Toon Hermans, Federico García Lorca, and Jules de Corte.
This concert will take place on Sunday, September 14th.,2025 at LDC De Braambeier, Loppemsestraat 14a in Zedelgem.

This book presentation will take place at Gentse Stemmen, HoGent (Vesalius campus). The evening symposium is about speech therapy and medical policy before and after vocal cord surgery.
