The programme includes works by W.A. Mozart - Frans Schubert - Ludwig Van Beethoven - Carl Maria von Weber - Robert Schumann - Kurt Weill - Mieke Van Haute - Fanny Tran - Boudewijn Buckinx - Erik Satie - Peter Cornelius - Robert Franz - Mira J. Spektor - Robert Stolz and Irma Bilbao. Some of these works were composed based on texts/poetry by, among others, Ingeborg Bachmann - Hugo von Hofmannsthal - Mark Eyskens - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - Martinus Nijhoff - Joseph von Eichendorff - Friedrich Rückert.
Dr. Françoise Vanhecke is not only a soprano; she frequently accompanies herself on the piano while singing, and demonstrates her compositional skills through her own works. As a researcher, she has also developed a new vocal technique known as "inhaling singing."
On this musical journey, she interprets works from the First and Second Viennese Schools. She then turns to the contemporary classical repertoire, performing vocal and piano pieces. The programme features works by Belgian composers, including her own compositions, with the "inhaling singing" technique employed in one of the pieces.
